In terms of public welfare, DBN has fulfilled its social responsibility by practicing the corporate philosophy of contributing to the society and the nation. It has initiated and developed many models of public good with its own features, contributing its share to the world agricultural development.  

Funded by the DBN Group, the DBN Tech Award was set up in 1999 in recognition of agricultural professionals with outstanding contribution in the research and application of agricultural technologies, which aims to “promote agricultural technology innovation and advance the development of modern agriculture”. It is a reflection of DBN’s devotion to the public welfare undertaking, with the aim of promoting China’s progress in agricultural technology and creating a social atmosphere of respecting science and encouraging innovation.

So far, 409 researchers have won the award, with a total of RMB 5.55 million, including internationally renowned scientists such as Dr. Roger Beachy and Dr. Don Grierson.
